Update June 6, 2023: Aminé has unveiled his collaboration with New Balance on the NB610, which has been dubbed ‘The Mooz’ colourway. Yellow and brown mesh meets patent leather overlays throughout in brown, giving off banana vibes. The rugged sneaker also features a snow globe-like 610 badge on the heel with a floating banana. Iridescent panelling is placed throughout, with Aminé and New Balance co-branding on the tongue. The Portland rapper has stated the collaborative sneaker is slated for a Summer 2023 release, so keep it locked to FhyzicsShops as we await details on the drop date.

Update May 31, 2023: After it was announced just over a year ago that Aminé would be signing on with New Balance, an official teaser has arrived via an editorial video. News on what the product will be is still unconfirmed, but what the artist has on foot – appearing to be a yellow pair of the NB610 – might be a little taste of what's to come.

The partnership between Aminé and New Balance comes as no surprise due to Aminé's friendship with Salehe Bembury. Bembury, who's created the 2002As Seen on TikTok; the 2002Aminé x New Balance; and the 574 'Yurt' and Jamal Murray, Crocs and ANTA collabs – sometimes even unreleased versions – and the rapper's large following, run of hit singles and quirky personality fit in perfectly among the New Balance roster.

In the announcement photo, he's also seen rocking an unreleased orange pair of the 2002R 'Protection Pack.' At the time of writing, there's no word on signature Aminé x New Balance products. Yet, more details on exactly what the duo's partnership will entail is likely to surface soon. (We hope there's an R 'Protection Pack.'!)
