The Soulland x Li-Ning Collaborative Collection Has a Release Date
It has almost been six months since we dubbed the x linkup one of the most interesting colabs of 2020, and almost a year since its first rumblings were felt around the scene. Now, the official information and pics are here and it’s hot on the heels of Soulland’s display at Copenhagen Fashion Week.
Denmark’s Soulland and China’s Li-Ning have crafted a collection consisting of two sneaker silhouettes, plus a slew of apparel, with a heavy focus on running. Dubbed ‘Pre-Inter-Post’, which translates to before-during-after in Latin, the colab plays into the idea of the different phases of a runner’s experience when pounding the pavement.
The Shadow and Wind Ranger both exude their own aesthetic and construction, with each focusing on the different needs of a runner.
The Shadow is the most striking to look at out of the duo, mainly because of its hollowed-out elliptical sole unit made out of foam with two carbon fibre plates stuck in between. Optimal stability and elevated shock absorption is the name of the game – delivering greater energy return, and lowering the risk of injury.
A little more toned down, but still as epic as its counterpart, the Wind Ranger hosts a range of tech with a minimalist design. The ultra-lightweight upper is elevated with the Li-Ning BOOM midsole unit down below – also boasting supreme energy return.
Both the Soulland x Li-Ning Shadow and Soulland x Li-Ning Wind Ranger will release globally at select retailers on February 19. This will also mark the first time the Shadow silhouette will be available internationally!
