Patta Restocks Their New Balance 991v2 in Two Colourways

Updated November 20, 2023: It’s no secret that Patta and New Balance know how to make a killer colab, so we’re absolutely not shocked at the reveal of the duo’s latest 991v2. Having previously worked together on the model’s predecessor, the 991, Patta are now back to put their spin on the recently updated silhouette.

Speaking in a press release, the Patta team said: ‘We understand the significance of when an icon like the 991 is updated. Within the confines of that reverence we went looking to combine it with the newness that the update of this silhouette deserves.’ Working alongside the team at New Balance, Patta have settled on two colourways: ‘Sea Moss’, which combines dark green and grey hues, and ‘Pickled Beet’, which boasts shades of grey and purple.

The collaboration also draws attention to the style’s technical evolution while still managing to pay homage to NB’s heritage. Both pairs come crafted from a mix of mesh, leather and suede, and they also feature a rubberised surface treatment on the uppers. Florescent yellow accents on the outsole and midsole actually serve to highlight the 991v2’s new features, which include FuelCell tech and re-engineered ABZORB SBS Pods. Finally, both colourways come rounded out with reflective detailing, Patta logos and co-branding hits.

Both colourways of the Patta x New Balance 991v2 colab will launch on December 1 at 13:00 CEST via Patta’s channels and store locations. A release will then follow on December 8 for the ‘Pickle Beet’ colourway at New Balance and select retail locations. The ‘Sea Moss’ colourway will not receive a wider release, as it is exclusive to Patta.
