The Second New Balance 2002R ‘Protection Pack’ is Dropping Again!

Update September 26, 2022: New York sneaker retailer Extra Butter are holding an exclusive release of the second New Balance 2002R ‘Protection Pack’ aka ‘Refined Future’! All three colourways are currently available via raffle on their site now. However, if you miss out, there will also be a first-come, first-served release through their online channels and brick-and-mortar locations on September 29. This will all come before the broader North American release of the pack.
‘Protection Pack’ AKA ‘Refined Future’ took the world by storm in 2021, it was a heavy contender for shoe of the year and was a decade-defining release. A GR drop, boutique sneaker stores had lines going around the block, with fans clamouring to secure their pair. The OG pack consisted of three colourways, with the grey ‘Rain Cloud’ iteration acting as the favourite and most sought-after. In 2022, the collection is still highly-regarded, in regular rotation among NB heads and it’s been confirmed that it’s expanding!

The second coming of the ‘Protection Pack’ has been given the moniker ‘Pig Suede Pack’ thanks to its premium material build.
