New Balance that dropped back in 2019 2002R with a slew of new colourways and collaborations, each bringing a unique element to the performance model turned street favourite. Up next is another pair equipped with a rather practical stash pouch that’s attached to the laces, working in tandem with utilitarian materials.

On the upper, the usual suede and mesh combination best associated with NB runners is substituted for sturdier selections of brushed nubuck and ripstop nylon. Reflective inserts on the toe box overlay and N logos add to the functionality of the design while simultaneously ensuring a useful safety feature.
