Kiko Kostadinov Works His Magic with the ASICS FN2-S GEL-CONTEND 5

Subscribe to our Newsletter ASICS, Kiko Kostadinov has made the transition to in-house creative director, and is continuing to work his magic, this time on the FN2-S GEL-CONTEND 5. This latest release sees the Bulgarian designer soup up the utilitarian walker with sleek tweaks and his knack for colours on full display.

Tech-wise, GEL and AMPLIFOAM cushioning are carried over from the base model, so you can expect a comfy ride. The shape has been slightly reworked for a more streamlined silhouette. As with Kostadinov’s previous designs, the upper sees a mix of materials, from mesh, to synthetic leather, to patent. In fact, the upper is made of approximately 50 per cent recycled materials. An asymmetric tongue tab adds a final Kiko touch.

This drop comprises two colourways. The first, Beet Juice/Pure Silver, pairs burgundy with silver, lavender and light blue, while the second takes a more subtle approach with aqua, dusty blue, and lavender.
