Concepts and ASICS Are Feeling Patriotic on the GEL-LYTE V ‘Libertea’

‘Our relationship with ASICS has allowed some of our most unique storylines and the length of our partnership has given us the time to anniversary product that we’re able to do so with utmost attention to material and execution,’ says Deon Point, Concepts’ Creative Director.
Dubbed the ‘Libertea’ colourway, the collaborative sneaker takes inspiration from the Boston Tea Party. Dressed in the colours of the Stars and Stripes, the GEL-LYTE V uses a premium suede build with a tri-colour blocking with metallic silver and gold Tiger Stripes placed on the quarter panels. ASICS branding is seen throughout, with Concepts branding stamped on the heel and insole, which are made to look like barrels from the Boston Tea Party. A red and white midsole and cream outsole finishes off the sneaker, which is accompanied by a special barrel-inspired box and two sets of laces.
The Concepts x ASICS GEL-LYTE V ‘Libertea’ is set to drop on July 8 via cncpts.com and in-store at Concepts locations, retailing for $150.
