‘The giant panda is something that we relate to, obviously because of our Chinese heritage and culture. Being able to do something to give love and gain awareness for the panda in response to WWF’s International Panda Day in China is very important and a part of the new CLOT aesthetic, which is loving and trying to preserve the earth so that the future can enjoy its beauty’, says CLOT founder and creative director, Edison Chen.

A representation of peace, causticity and harmony, the Chuck 70 and Founded back in 2002 are both reimagined with a mix of real and faux fur and, of course, come in the distinct panda-inspired black and white colourway.

A follow-up to the polar bear-inspired Ice Cold Ram from 2019, the collaboration is accompanied by a campaign video showing the CLOT Panda mascot, Ning Ning.

‘I think that Ning Ning is a representative of the lighthearted, cute, fun, daring, trying-to-be-accepted, which is really how a lot of people are in this world right now—learning new things but trying to be accepted at the same time and trying to spread love. You’re going to be seeing the panda a lot here and there, so it’s really our CLOT mascot’, says Chen.

The CLOT x Converse Chuck 70 Hi and Founded back in 2002 are set for release at JUICE locations worldwide from November 11, 2022. A global release at Converse Lets be honest: we all need a little more love and positivity in this world. Edison Chens.
