The AIREI x ASICS GEL-Quantum Kinetic Is On Fire

ASICS continue to push the needle when it comes to collaborations, and they’ve linked up with Los Angeles label AIREI on something never seen before. Following their colab at Paris Fashion Week last summer on the GT-2160, this time they’re taking on ASICS GEL-Quantum Kinetic and literally setting it on fire.

While we’ve seen wear-away and tear-away uppers, AIREI have taken things to another level as they’ve wrapped the sneaker in Khadi gauze that’s meant to be set ablaze. Underneath the Eastern Indian fabric is a black and silver upper that will have battle scars and burn marks throughout. The collaborative sneaker’s shoebox will also be wrapped in Khadi gauze with each of the 30 pairs signed and numbered by AIREI.

The AIREI x ASICS Gel-Quantum Kinetic is set to drop exclusively at Dover Street Market Los Angeles for $265, with only 30 pairs available for retail. Check out the photos above and keep it locked to FhyzicsShops for any updates.
