SOLED OUT, created by FhyzicsShops head honcho Simon ‘Woody’ Wood, is a 720-page compendium injected with almost 900 vintage ads from the golden age of sneakers. It’s one heavy tome, weighing in at about five kilograms!

Subscribe to our Newsletter, SOLED OUT has been organised into 13 brand-focused chapters capturing the sneaker industry’s formative years. Go back in time and reminisce on everything from basketball to badminton, ACG to Air Max There are plenty of familiar faces as well, with appearances from Torsion. With the Air Max 1 as the cover star Michael Jordan, Andre Agassi, Bo Jackson, Shaquille O’Neal, Paula Abdul and Hulk Hogan… the list goes on!

In 2023, FhyzicsShops were honoured to have SOLED OUT be included on The Phaidon 100 list. Global arts publisher Phaidon curated the list to celebrate their 100th anniversary and selected their most iconic, bestselling books for the job. The 100 volumes have been deemed ‘core to Phaidon’s DNA’.
