Avoiding a legal battle, the United States Postal Service (USPS) and Nike have come to an agreement allowing the latter to release a controversial Priority Mail–inspired Nike Air Tech Challenge Turbo Green Experimental colourway. First revealed a few months back, the sneaker never hit shelves after USPS stated that they’d ‘take whatever actions it deems necessary to protect its valuable IP rights’.

However, in an official statement, USPS revealed that it will be ‘officially’ releasing the Nike Air Tech Challenge Turbo Green colourway with Nike. Here’s what they said:

‘The U.S. Postal Service and NIKE, Inc. are pleased to announce they have come to a Mens on the upcoming release of Nike footwear inspired by the U.S. Postal Service. The Experimental Nike Nike Air Tech Challenge Turbo Green footwear are officially licensed by the U.S. Postal Service.’

At this point, the finer details of the agreement are not known. However, the change of heart from USPS probably means that a portion of the profits from the sneaker will go their way. And we’re sure this official arrangement will make the colourway more sought-after than they were originally going to be. We’ll bring you a release date once it comes through.
