The New Balance 57/40 Joins the ‘Protection Pack’ Party
The has been popping off recently thanks to the widely praised , and now the Boston brand is looking to invite the A first look at the New Balance 57/40 Protection Pack comes from!
A completely new silhouette within New Balance’s extensive arsenal, the 57/40 debuted this year and has already been seen in a slew of high-profile colabs. In the early days of 2021 it was touched by and , before recently being tricked up by and . Expanding their in-line offering, this ‘Protection Pack’ iteration is a welcome take on the model.
If the 57/40 looks familiar, it’s because the design is a modernised take on the classic ! Opting for a similar shape to its older predecessor, things get beefed up with a ton of layered panels, and the gargantuan midsole. The signature ’N’ logo has also been enlarged. This new ‘Protection Pack’ iteration uses the same construction as always, however, goes for a deconstructed look allowing the edges of each panel to fray. The foam on the tongue has also been exposed.
