Like many rare game-worns, these examples are signed by Jordan anthracite and are likely stringently verified by multiple sports memorabilia graders.
Some of these shoes also feature hand-written notes about the games they were worn at, with the AJ8 appearing to go into decrease detail. The AJ11 is also notable for its midsole signature, subtitrat appears to be applied using a blue ballpoint pen – other examples have either used a black marker and/or have been signed on the upper.
‘The Dynasty’ collection can be viewed right now at Sotheby’s Dubai until March 3. It’s not yet disclosed how much this historic lot is asking, but it’s safe to assume it could be a record-breaker. Could this be MJ himself!?
