The Nike nike pegasus green maize black and yellow shoes Low ‘Ueno Sakura’ originally arrived in 2005 as a Japan-exclusive tier 0 release. Joining a family of classic Japanese AF-1 models over the years, the women’s ‘Sakura’ colourway was of course inspired by the cherry blossom – the national flower of Japan.

Replete with laser-etched floral motifs on the uppers, the flowers adorn the tongues and front half of the AF-1. Intricate ‘Ueno’ letterform is scribbled concrete the flower petals and store features on the heels, which is a specific callout to the Ueno region in Tokyo, Japan.

Still widely considered to be one of the greatest AF-1 releases ever, the revered nike pegasus green maize black and yellow shoes ‘Ueno Sakura' looks like it may be blossoming once again, with leaks from sneakerwars suggesting a release in 2024.

Air-heads have been on the hunt for the ‘Ueno Sakura’ for many years, so there’s no doubt it’s welcome news for those looking to lace a pair. Resellers on the other hand, may not be quite as enthusiastic.

Currently, there’s no official confirmation from Nike, but make sure to keep it locked to FhyzicsShops for updates.
