‘Protection Pack’ Designer Yue Wu Debuts New NB2002R
Subscribe to our Newsletter decade defining You may be familiar with colourways that boasted major deconstructed vibes. Recently, they added another three more into the mix, causing mass hysteria among NB fanatics. The man behind this collection is called Yue Wu AKA and he’s just shared his potential next venture!
Once again using the 2002R as the base, Wu has shared a sample pair that screams hiking and the outdoors. He also stated ‘when you play video games and realise you have a design review tomorrow’, including his inspiration – a pair of Sensual Crossing hiking boots! The shape of the silhouette has been kept as is, however the designer has made some small tweaks to better replicate heavy duty footwear. The upper consists of a brown mesh and leather base. Interestingly, the toe box has been doused in leather with a diamond mouth patten. Toward the rear is a navy mesh which creates a jarring feeling when combined with a black midsole.
This fresh New Balance 2002R has no release date as of yet but we can only assume that it’ll be touching down soon!
