Ye Is Making a Statement at Paris Fashion Week

This week, with Paris Fashion Week underway, fashion savants all around the globe have fixed their attention on the City of Love. Each day of the week brings headlines of celebrity frow sightings, viral moments and new trends.
Some runways are more anticipated than others, including top-tier luxury brand . Always expected to deliver something unexpected, this year its creative head Demna Gvasalia tapped none other than close associate (fka Kanye West) to open the summer 2023 show. Located at Parc des Expositions, he sported an all-black, utility-inspired outfit. While this moment marks Ye’s catwalk debut, there’s a lot more happening beneath the surface. According to Gvasalia, the show’s muddy set is a metaphor ‘for digging for truth and being down to earth.’
Looking to Ye’s channels, the rapper shared a screenshot of a personal conversation in which he was being praised for the show. In his reply, he said, ‘We have more battles ahead of us, but we’re going to win, God is on our side.’
Aside from making headlines with Balenciaga, rumours have suggested that a Season 9 show is also in preparation. Following the speculation, footage of rehearsals has been popping up across social media, as well as Ye posting images to IG, captioned, 'SZN9'.
