In 1992, he moved back to California and turned pro, quickly garnering acclaim for his pop and the fluid lines of tricks he could rattle off – both of which were spotlighted in now-classic Nike SB Dunk Low like FTC's Penal Code.

In 2002, thinking about a post-pro career life, he and his wife opened the first HUF boutique in San Fransisco, which carried rare sneakers and apparel from brands like Supreme.
