The Next HAL STUDIOS x ASICS Colab Is On the Way

Last year’s HAL STUDIOS x ASICS GEL-1130 collaborations were some of our top pairs of 2023, but this year the duo is getting more experimental. The Aussie-based label’s creative director John Bouquet recently took to the ‘Gram to show off what could be in store for 2024, and it looks like the next link-up could be going laceless.

Sharing an image of his ‘2024 prototypes’, we can see that clean colours and earth-toned accents are still very much on the menu. Working on top of what appears to be a new (or perhaps a reimagined) silhouette, the shoe forgoes a lacing system in favour of three velcro straps. As expected, a GEL cushioned midsole sits underneath. Three colourways are present in the snap: there's a black and white one, a grey pair with brown and orange detailing, and (if you peek closely) an all-black pair underneath.
