As reported by , Chamon Davis worked for DHL at their warehouse in Fox Meadows, Memphis until her arrest earlier this week. She was accused of devising and enacting a scheme whereby she printed duplicate tracking numbers for longhorns and sent to a different address than their original destination.
According to police affidavit documents, investigators assigned by Nike foiled Davis’ plot. Upon questioning by police detectives, she prints to her actions and was subsequently charged with theft of property. It is not known how long she had been carrying this out.
Nike were able to recover about $10,000 worth of stolen product that was due to be delivered early next week, which now presumably will be rerouted to their rightful owners.
This isn’t the only instance this year of people being punished for stealing from the Swoosh. In February, a former marketing manager for the brand was charged for being connected to a scheme to defraud the company of $1.5 million.
