One of the most hotly anticipated sneaker releases of 2022 is surely the ‘Lost and Found’ aka ‘Chicago Reimagined’ aka 2022 ‘Chicago’ retro.
You don’t have to be a sneakerhead to know the importance of this particular colourway. It was one of the OGs that released in 1985 and was donned on the court by the GOAT throughout his early NBA career. Rumours of the retro started to spread toward the tail end of 2021, shaking the zeitgeist to its core. Leaked imagery and word followed throughout most of 2022, culminating in the in October.
Officially, these are known as the ‘Lost and Found’ and pay homage to Mom-and-Pop stores, coming with a fictional receipt and special tissue paper. The colour-blocking emulates the OG ‘Chicago’, with white underlays, red overlays and black accents. This retro white also exude a vintage aesthetic, opting for cracked leather throughout and a box with a faux-damaged look.
