Aimé Leon Dore Takes on the New Balance 990v6

Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance started their collaborative journey starting in 2019 and after dozens of drops, it looks like there’s no slowing down between ALD and NB. Following their link-up on the NB996 at the end of last year, Teddy Santis and co. are bringing their elevated and luxe aesthetic to the New Balance 990v6.

If there’s one word to describe this sneaker, it’s neutral. Cream mesh base, tan suede overlays and silver accenting, this collaborative NB990v6 is balanced in its colour blocking, making it easy to pair with anything in the wardrobe. The N logo on the quarter panel looks to be reflective, as well as the 990 branding on the tongue and heel. Aimé branding is pretty much non-existent as NB and ALD co-branding is stamped on the insole’s heel. A cream FuelCell and ENCAP cushioned midsole brings the comfort that NB are known for with a black rubber outsole finishing off the sneaker.
